Rise of Hitler (Images of War)
A Nazi propaganda book found in the ruins of a bomb-damaged German home in 1945 and recovered as a souvenir by a British soldier. It forms the basis for this photographic account of Hitlers' early days as he gains acceptance and eventually took over the hearts and minds of the German people.

"The Rise of Hitler is not a traditional history of the rise of the Third Reich. It's a reproduction of an early 1930s German propaganda piece titled Deutschland Erwache (Germany Awakes). The original book is a pictorial history of the early years Hitler and the Nazi party, and what little text there is is full of praise for the Reich. The translation of the original German is readable.
